Hi! I'm Wild Woman.  My fiance is Mountain Man

I created this blog for a handful of reasons:

1. I wanted a place to showcase my creative efforts, whether they're made in the kitchen, at the sewing machine, behind a pair of knitting needles or a crochet hook, or with pretty much any other craft medium. I just love making stuff.
2. I wanted somewhere to chronicle the makeover of Mountain Man's cabin from high-school-hangout to modern home (and scrapbooking is so not my thing). After three years of hearing about it, I finally got to see it, and he and I will be working on it together from now on!
3. This year is my first year of teaching Family and Consumer Sciences, and I'm very excited to be starting my career!  I wanted a way to document/reflect on/vent about my classroom and my experiences there.

Some facts about me:

• I'm an alumnus of the University of Montevallo.
• I live in northeastern Alabama.
• I have two furbabies.
• I'm basically an expert on all things Bed Bath & Beyond.
• I'm allergic to shellfish.
• I love vegetables.
• I'm not a vegetarian.
• I grew up in northwest Florida.
• I could probably eat chicken fingers with honey mustard for dinner everyday for the rest of my life.
• I don't follow football. Or other sports.
• I don't like to ask for help.
• I once sang the preamble to the Constitution (a la Schoolhouse Rock) while balancing a spoon on my nose in a crowded Steak & Ale.
• I love to decorate for the holidays, especially Christmas!
• I will one day have a library in my house.
• I don't (but wish I did) know Spanish.
